After a long flight from Gardermoen airport, the Skaslien Hotel & Guesthouse welcomed us with open arms, setting the stage for an exceptional Norwegian experience. The staff's warmth and efficiency made us feel right at home, embodying the renowned Scandinavian hospitality. Our room boasted a lovely view, providing a serene backdrop to unwind after a day of exploration.Venturing into the restaurant felt like stepping into a culinary oasis. Each dish presented was a work of art, almost too beautiful to eat. As a marine biologist, sourcing sustainable seafood is close to my heart, and I was delighted by the freshness and creativity on display. The breakfast spread was a delightful surprise, offering a variety that catered to every palate.The restaurant's ambiance exuded a classic charm, reminiscent of a bygone era. The display of the Olympic torch added a touch of history, weaving a unique narrative into our dining experience.
